“Most of us live with varying degrees of stress and experience blocked energy channels. I believe the body has the best opportunity to heal when energy centers are opened and realigned. In a sound therapy session, the practitioner uses a variety of medical grade tuning forks and plays sacred instruments in ways that entrain the brain to their vibrations. Brain waves, heart rate, and nervous system are slowed, promoting a state of deep inner calm and relaxation. The body’s immune system can then do its work no longer hindered by stress.”

Benefits
of sound therapy
Sound therapy has its roots in the ancient healing practices of Tibet, India, Latin America, Africa, China, and Greece. It is an effective and proven healing modality that uses vibrational sound frequencies made by therapeutically played instruments. Applying these to the body with direct contact and through the air improves and restores a person’s health and sense of well-being in body, mind, and spirit. When a state of calm and peacefulness is achieved, the body’s organs and nervous system rebalance, realign, and heal.
A sound therapy session may alleviate ongoing stress, headache, migraines, and pain. In addition to these primary benefits sound therapy can help with insomnia, nerve pain, energy level, energy quality, and ability to focus.
Most commonly, a session enhances your overall sense of well-being and serenity which are necessary to restore your body’s innate healing ability.

Overview
of an individual sound session
At the first session an intake is conducted to determine presenting issues a client may have and wish to address. The client sets an intention for the session. Whether the client remains awake or sleeps, the effects of the session are received.
The client lies fully clothed on the massage table. Tuning forks and gentle touch on the body’s energy meridians open, balance, and tune the energy centers.
Various sound and musical instruments are therapeutically played in tonal and rhythmically patterned ways to entrain brain waves to their vibrations and tones. This induces a deep state of calm. Instruments used include medical grade tuning forks, Himalayan/Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, chimes, crystal pyramids, gantas, gongs and more.
Sound Immersions
A group sound immersion (sometimes known as a sound bath) can be an alternative for individuals who, for some reason, cannot or do not prefer to have a one-on-one sound therapy session. The goal is the same as for an individual session: deep relaxation and stress reduction. Instruments are therapeutically played in patterned ways to induce a state of deep calm. On-body tuning forks are not applied.
Recipients can lie on a yoga mat, a blanket, or remain seated in a chair as they enjoy the experience.
